Todo K-2 Math Practice

Todo K-2 Math Practice is a series of 6 fun and engaging multi-level games that offer children practice and support in Pre-K through 2nd grade math fluency skills including: counting, writing numerals, addition and subtraction. Developed by award-winning game designers and in collaboration with teachers and math experts, Todo K-2 Math Practice offers meaningful play for students who struggle to master early elementary math. Combining research-based instructional strategies with playful game design helps children who struggle with math understand the meaning of mathematical operations building a strong foundation for further mathematical learning.

●Tallies: A race against the clock, this fast-paced, exciting game builds fluency with counting on and counting back from a starting number.
●Cookies: Develop understanding of addition and subtraction through this playful game.
●Falling Blocks: Practice addition with support of the 10-frame representation. Answer through writing digits by hand or by dragging numerals into place.
●Quick Facts: Build fluency through repetition of math facts. Focused practice of addition and subtraction to 99.

Students with Special Learning Needs
“All means all” is an expression we embrace at LocoMotive Labs and is the inspiration behind our choice of Todo. Todo, meaning “all” in Spanish, is our way of communicating the inclusion of children with learning differences in the apps’ design and development. We define learning differences to include deficits in auditory and visual processing, short-term memory, language delay or under-developed fine motor skills. Students with formal diagnosis can include, but are not limited to students with LD, ASD, ADD/ADHD, Dyspraxia, and Down syndrome.

Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
Beginning in Kindergarten the CCSS for mathematics focus on developing a deep understanding of numeric quantities and an early focus on the meaning of the addition and subtraction operations of these values. Through 1st grade, further development of the understanding of these operations, along with fluency in adding and subtracting to 10. By 2nd grade, the expectation of fluency and understanding are extended to include larger values up to 100. We created Todo K-2 Math Practice to provide students with practice developing their operational fluency alongside visual models to support their understanding of those calculations.
