Masamichi Ito Profile:
Masamichi Ito is an author of children’s books and an illustrator. He was born on Dec. 15, 1956 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. A graduate of Waseda University’s School of Social Sciences, he has designed characters for leading Japanese companies such as Osaka Gas Company, Universal Studios Japan, JTB, and products such as Kirara 397. His illustrations are featured in a variety of fields such as ads, publications, and product packages. He has held one-man shows and authored many children’s books. He works in his studio overlooking the ocean, which is located in Inamuragasaki beach in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. His personal gallery giogio factory is now open to the public.
